Lincoln, New Hampshire's Kyle Goodbout goes back on top in The Oil Boys iLate Model Nationals at Oxford Plains Speedway. Thirty-Eight Late Model Stocks rolled into the virtual pit area last night for the inaugural Turkey Day Clash 125 presented by Goodfella’s Restaurant & Tavern. As the drivers continue to settle in as the 2025/26 season is officially in full swing, most of the field was ready to turn their new season around. Three Heat races would complete round one qualifying for the evening seeing Kenny Thompson, Teagan Atkins and Ty Delphia pick up the wins. Twenty cars would head into round two qualifying with a 12 lap Consolation race taking the top 7 cars to the transfer and sending the reminder cars home. Kenny Thompson and Teagan Atkins would lead the field down to the green flag for the Goodfella’s Turkey Day Clash 125. Kenny Thompson would jump to an early lead and would go on to dominate the event till a late race caution. In an event that saw 8 yellow flags but only 3 lead changes and a long 60ish green flag run Kenny Thompson was looking pretty out front in car 39. After some more late race carnage Kyle Goodbout who started P16 at the start of the 125 lap event moved his way into the top 3 and on the green flag and was taking no for an answer and stole the show in the final 5 laps. Goodbout picked up his second straight victory in The Oil Boys iLate Model Nationals as Ryan Kuhn and took his second straight second place finish, as the former Oxford Plains weekly warrior Ethan Guptuill rounded out the podium in the Turkey Day Clash. The iLate Model Nationals return next Tuesday to the fan favorite track, Lanier Motor Speedway for Winter Blast 150.

The Oil Boys iLate Model Nationals returned to action Tuesday night at the famed Hickory Motor Speedway for the VT&NH Racing News 150. Round one of the VT&NH Racing News Triple Crown Series saw 36 cars set time in practice in hopes to qualify for the VT&NH Racing News 150. Qualifying heat races saw JD Stockwell, Kyle Goodbout and Teagan Atkins pick up the wins locking themselves into the main event. Twenty-One cars would grid for the Last Chance Qualifier as only ten cars would transfer in. Jacob Roy would run away to take the win as the league veteran Jason Gaudette Jr. beat out the rookie Tyson Shannon for the final transfer spot to make the field for the second race of the season. Twenty-Five cars would take the green flag for the VT&NH Racing News 150 at the Hickory Motor Speedway, JD Stockwell and Kyle Goodbout would lead them down. Opening day winner Lukee Shannon who was set to roll off fifth would drop to the tail for the start as the previous winner penalty. It wouldn't take Shannon long before he was starting to move his way to the front in car 13. In the 2025/26 season the car that sets the fastest lap in the feature event will gain an extra 5 points towards the season standings, Jake Grout the Vermont native set a fast lap on just lap 4 and no one was able to knock him down. With a time of 14.432 Grout will take home the fastest lap and an extra 5 points heading into the third race of the season next Tuesday night. Meanwhile Kyle Goodbout making his first start of the season in his brother's number 92 machine would just set sail and never look back to take home the victory in the RKM Setup Shop Cadillac. Ryan Kuhn would muscle his way through the field for a second place after a rough start to the season in the 72 machine as Lukee Shannon jumped to the highside and worked his way up to round out the podium in the 13VT. In a race that saw six cautions, and five different lead changes in a 150 laps, Hickory Motor Speedway definitely did not disappoint. Lukee Shannon grabs second career win in iLate Model Nationals presented by The Oil Boys. Thirty-Nine Late Model Stock cars showed up for the season opener on Tuesday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Four qualifying heat races kicked off the racing action at 7:00pm live on Vidane TV, we saw the defending event winner Ryan Kuhn, Kenny Thompson, Lukee Shannon and Riley Mcvetty pick up the heat race wins to start off the evening. All four heats went green to checkers to set the big field of cars for the first race of the 2025/26 season. Field was coming off turn 4 for the first time when Makita Giroux car 36 would spin the tires and also have connection issues just ahead of the start finish line that caused a massive pile up at the green flag. Just about every single car in the field was a part of the wreck ahead of the start. Field would line back up and was ready for the restart with 5 laps complete as caution laps count in the iLate Model Nationals. Green flag would fly for the restart with Lukee Shannon and Dominc Frappier leading them down. It wouldn't be long before the yellow flag would come back out as Ryan Kuhn, Jacob Roy, JJ Goodbout and more would get together on the front stretch to bring out the second yellow of the new season. Shannon and Frappier would get the chance to lead the field back to green once again where they clicked off 23 laps before contact was made in turn 4 sending the 17 of Jason Gaudette Jr. hard into the wall bringing out the third yellow of the night just shy of the halfway mark. Most of the field would head pit side for tires and to fix as much damage as possible and return for the start. Green would fly once again and it was looking up from there with a long green flag run, and Shannon eyeing that second checkered flag in his iLate Model career until the yellow would come out with 10 laps remaining and this one turning the race upside down. Lap car of Cason Colby would tag the lead lap car of Ethan Guptill sending both around in front of the fast coming leaders, collecting the second place car of Frappier ending his chance of an early season victory. Shannon would have a new dancing partner to the outside for what was the final restart of the night. Zac Frasier would line up to Shannon's right arm at the green after gaining 13 spots in the event so far. Green would fly and Lunenburg Vermont’s Lukee Shannon just drove off into the sunset to pick up the season opening win on G&W Transport LLC Suicied Awareness 50 night at NHMS, and his second Oil Boys iLate Model Nationals victory! Teagan Atkins, the Triple Crown Champion from a year ago would work his way up to second as the lucky man Matt Huntington rounded out the podium with zero damage on his 99 automobile. The Oil Boys iLate Model Nationals return in two weeks for round one of the VT&NH Racing News Triple Crown Series at the Hickory Motor Speedway for 150 laps of action.

Memorial Day weekend is approaching, and it’s set to be one of the most eventful weekends yet. The racing action begins on Saturday, May 24th, at the White Mountain Motorsports Park for the 7th annual Spring Board 100. Serving as round one of the Walls Ford Platinum Late Model Series, drivers from the Milton Cat American Canadian Tour are expected to attend in preparation for the Kancamangus 150 scheduled for June 7th. As last weekend's Late Model feature event was rained out, the stars of the Thunder and Lightning division at the North Woodstock, New Hampshire, high banks are ready for the first green flag of 2025. In 2022, the Walls Ford Platinum Late Model Series was born as a twenty-two-car field rolled into White Mountain for the Spring Board 100. In the debut for the new Late Model Triple Crown Series, Derek Gluchaki of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, an American Canadian Tour standout, dominated round one. Race #2 was no different as twenty-eight Late Models attempted to qualify for the New Hampshire Governor's Cup 100. Once again, the 03ma of Gluchaki was not going to be denied in the closing laps of the NH Gov. Cup 100. The third and final Platinum Series event was a 75-lap dash to crown the first-ever Champion. In what was another twenty-two-car field, Gluchaki wasn’t going to let the sweep get away, as he outdueled Jesse Switser for the win and the Walls Ford Platinum Late Model Series inaugural Championship. In 2023, White Mountain opened up the season with race #1 of the Walls Platinum Series with a 100-lap showdown in the 5th annual Spring Board event. Kasey Beattie of Saint Johnsbury, Vermont, put down the hammer and found victory lane. The series' second event was only a few weeks later, and the Center Conway, New Hampshire driver of Gabe Brown couldn’t be beaten as he dominated the Foley Oil & Propane 100 over the twenty-seven-car field. The final event was once again won by the opening day winner, Kasey Beattie, who was able to snag his first Championship in a Late Model right before he went on to win the 2023 King of the Mountain. In 2024, it was all Gabe Brown as he sailed off into the sunset in all three Platinum Series 100s, picking up the third Platinum Series Championship!

So far in 2025 Mother Nature has captured the win during numerous ACT sanctioned events. Starting with multiple postponements for the Thompson Icebreaker, moving the Northeast Classic at NHMS back a week, Oxford Plains being postponed till October, opening weekend at Thunder Road getting pushed back weeks, and White Mountain season opener being cut short. It’s been a battle since the start. Saturday May, 17th the White Mountain Motorsports Park kicked off 2025 with a threat of rain coming in the late afternoon. Officials did everything possible to get the big show and as many of the weekly divisions in as possible. With post time being moved up 15 minutes the Kids Division set the bar with an 8 lap qualifying heat race. All qualifying rounds were completed, with a quick turn around time for the ACT Flying Tiger Tri-State Series. The Tigers kick off Feature racing with their 75 lap main event in leg one of the ACT Tri-State Series and the Central Asphalt Paving Triple Crown. In what was a pretty quick Flying Tiger event that took about thirty-five minutes, the Dwarf Cars hit the track for Segment #1 that went green to checkered. The Kids Division then took the track with hope to get their season opener in. The green flag had dropped and the feature event was underway. On lap 5 after a spin in turn 4 the yellow flag had come out with rain starting as officials worked over the restart line up. After running about 8 laps under caution the rain continued to pick up with lightning in the area forcing the track to pull the plug on lap 5 of the Kids Division event. The Kids Division will finish the remaining 10 laps of their HK Powersports feature event this coming Saturday May 24th. The Late Model feature event from opening day will kick off the May 31st program as the Strictly Minis will start off Kancamagus 150 Saturday on June 7th as the Milton Cat American Canadian Tour heads to North Woodstock.. The Pro All Star Series events from yesterday May 18th, will be made up on Sunday July 28th as they will conclude a big weekend of racing at White Mountain, as the Walls Ford Platinum Late Model Series New Hampshire Governors Cup 100 returon Saturday July 27th.
Next Saturday White Mountain is back in action for the first Walls Ford Platinum Late Model Series event. And for the first time all year long the weather is looking to be in our favor. We can’t wait to get back to North Woodstock, New Hampshire this Saturday with our coverage being sponsored by The Farmyard Store and Newport Rental!

White Mountain Motorsports Park opens up the 33rd season of racing action this Saturday, May 17th with HK Powersports Opening Night. The North Woodstock, New Hampshire speed plant opened up back in 1993 with Donnie and Terri Avery in charge. The facility has hosted the NASCAR Bush North Tour, American-Canadian Tour, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Pro All Star Series and many more touring divisions over its thirty-three year history. In 2019 co-owner of the American-Canadian Tour and Thunder Road International Speedbowl Cris Michaud purchased the high banks from the Avery family leaving many wondering what was next for WMMP. Throughout the 2019 season, White Mountain saw a huge increase in car counts and fan base. Over the short period of time White Mountain has hit records for Late Model cars counts through a single season, with averages over 20+ cars per race. The continuing growth in the Flying Tiger and Mini Late Model classes are like none other. The Strictly Minis and Kids Division continue to show high car counts and even better racing through each season at White Mountain. The 2025 Milton Cat American Canadian Tour season will once again fire off during the second weekend of April, with the Northeast Classic 50. The Northeast Classic at the “Magic Mile” of New Hampshire Motor Speedway will open up the ACT season for the fifth year in row. North Dartmouth Massachusetts, Derek Gluchaki in Superior Rail Ford Mustang jumped to the top once again in the closing laps of the 2022 running of the Northeast Classic, to become a two-time winner on the Historic American Canadian Tour and sealing the deal on his first NHMS victory. The stars and cars returned in 2023 to kick off the new season at NHMS for the third time ever. In what was a thirty-six car field and a stellar race right to the end, it was all Derek Gluchaki holding off Tom Carrey III to score his second win at the Magic Mile, and his sixth victory of his ACT career. In 2024 it was nothing short of excellence for the American Canadian Tour. Forty cars rolled onto the property for the 4th annual Northeast Classic at NHMS. With thirty-nine competitors taking the green flag it was all West Burke, Vermont's Jesse Switser out front with a dominant performance in the Saint J Subaru car 25. After thinking he scored his first career ACT win, and coming on the biggest stage of the year Switser had been found with an Illegal motor, and was disqualified handing the 03ma of Derek Gluchaki his third straight win at the Magic Mile and giving him his eighth career American Canadian Tour win. The American Canadian Tour released some exciting news during the off-season. Milton Cat would partner with ACT to form the new Milton Cat American Canadian Tour, and drivers will now chase Twenty-Thousand dollars in hunt to become the 2025 Champion. New Hampshire Motor Speedway will kick off the 2025 Milton Cat American Canadian Tour season now paying $5,500-to-win and $700 to start. The VT&NH Racing News will be trackside for the 5th annual Northeast Classic at the Magic Mile on April 12th and 13th!

Tonight the Pro All Star Series Super Late Models roll into the Hickory Motor Speedway for the 20th Easter Bunny 150 Weekend. Tonight will kick off the 25th season for the Maine based Super Late Model Series. In 2025 PASS will have a different approach, by cutting some tracks that are further away, and reducing the schedule to 17 events. Starting with the non-point counting Saint Patrick's Day 150 this evening at America's Most Famous Short Track. In the new season you'll see some of the biggest races in the northeast have changed gears. Hickory Motor Speedway’s opening weekend, the newly added Memorial Day Clash 200, the return of the COA 300 and the 52nd Oxford 250 will not pay points towards regular season standings. In 2025 Oxford Plains Speedway and the Pro All Star Series have announced that the Memorial Day Clash, Celebration of America 300 and the Oxford 250 will serve as a Super Late Model Triple Crown for the brand new season. The top five finishers will be awarded at the 2025 PASS banquet. As always, tune into Racing America tonight for the Saint Patricks Day 150, and Tomorrow's Easter Bunny 150. Also on the card this weekend is the Pass Modifieds and the Street Stocks.

It was announced late last week that there will be one more date added to the 2025 Oxford Plains Speedway schedule. The Inaugural Memorial Day Clash 200 will happen on Tuesday May 27th, 2025. The Memorial Day Clash will form the first leg of the All-New Oxford Plains Triple Crown Series. The Triple Crown will also feature the two biggest Super Late Model races in New England, such as the Celebration of America 300 on July 1-2, and the 52nd annual Oxford 250 on August 22-24th. The Memorial Clash event will offer a different kind of format compared to what Oxford and the Pro All Star Series (PASS) does. Time Trials will be used to set the Top-20 cars in the main event. The remaining competitors will be placed into heat races to set the rest of the 35-car field for the Memorial Day Clash 200. The Memorial Day Clash will see $10,000 heading home in someone’s pocket at the conclusion of the 200 lap affair. The COA 300 and Oxford 250 are always a must-see event, and adding them to a Triple Crown will make the entertainment factor that much better. For those that may not know how big these races are, in the 2024 installment of the COA 300 the 2x NASCAR Cup Series Champion and winner of the 2011 Oxford 250 Kyle Busch made the trip to Oxford to run in the event. Former NASCAR Xfinity Champion Daniel Hemric also made the trip from North Carolina to Maine for this special event. One driver to focus on for the all new Triple Crown will be none other than Berwick Maine’s, Joey Doiron who won just about every big money Pro Stock race in 2024, including the COA 300 and the North American Pro Stock Nationals. The star-studded field of Super Late Model drivers is packed with talent from guys like Derek Griffith, DJ Shaw, Max Cookson, Cassius Clark, Cory Bubar, Johnny Clark and more. Going to victory lane for any of these events will be an emotional ride for any team. Jeff Taylor, a 9-time Oxford Super Late Model Champion, after years of trying to win the big show he finally broke through to capture the win over one of the best Super Late Model drivers in the country, Bubba Pollard. He beat 40 other drivers and it was pure emotion from him and his team in victory lane. These will be CAN’T MISS races this year. The Oxford Crown Jewel Triple Crown will also have a separate points battle, with the top 5 finishers in points receiving awards at the 2025 PASS Banquet. The Inaugural Memorial Day Clash will be sponsored by Kneeland-Hopkins Promotions and officiated by PASS officials. The short history of the Celebration of America 300 and long history of the Oxford 250 show many drivers making a name for themselves. The all new Oxford Triple Crown Series will be streamed on Racing America. The VT&NH Racing News will also be on-site at Oxford Plains Speedway for all three events. The countdown continues before the roar of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season opener at New Smyrna Speedway, as part of Night #2 of the 59th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. 2-Time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion Ron Silk has won the last two races down in Florida as he will look to bring the #16 Haydt-Yannone Racing team back to Victory Lane for the third straight year. It was announced that the 16 team will run Part-Time in the 2025 NWMT season. That could only mean one thing, who will now challenge the 4-time Whelen Modified Tour Champion Justin Bonsignore, and the Kenneth Massa Motorsports team at the top of the point standings? New Smyrna will see Patrick Emerling and the Fleetworks team start their second year as team after an outstanding 2024 campaign. The #1 of Emerling found Victory Lane 3 times to go along with 11 Top-Fives, and 15 Top-Tens resulting with a 3rd place finish in the 2024 standings. How about the #64 KLM Motorsports machine driven by Austin Beers. Beers finished 4th in the point standings getting a win at Lancaster Motorplex. Beers has 3 career wins in the last 2 seasons and has been a top name on the historic Modified Tour. Last year's opener delivered all sorts of action with Modified talent around the east coast. We’re sure this year's opener will bring the same kind of excitement. New Smyrna will have a talented field for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour opener on February 8th, including 2024 SMART Modified Tour Champion Luke Baldwin, who will be running 12 NWMT events in 2025 for Tommy Baldwin Racing in the #7NY. Talented Modified driver Max Zachem will be joining the field for the opener, running at least the first 3 events. 31 cars are on the official entry list including “Big Money” Matt Hirschman the 2024 Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Champion and multi-time NWMT winner. NASCAR Cup Series Star Ryan Newman will also be one of the 31 drivers in the field as he drives the #8 Modified entry for Eighty-Two Autosport. Tyler Rypkema who finished the 2024 campaign in the “Ole Blue” #3 will return behind the wheel as well. Who will capture the first checkered flag of the 2025 season as the stars of the NWMT will battle to win $15,875 in the season opener? If you can’t make it, tune into FloRacing, we will also be on-site at New Smyrna Speedway. Marketing opportunities for our coverage is still available, email us at vtnhracingnewsmedia@gmail.com.
